Salvador

Salvador is a sound designer, composer, engineer, producer, and dancer from San Diego.

You are certain to learn at least something about sound during this episode, sound good? I promise this post isn’t filled with sound puns as we got through all of those during sound check. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my conversation with Sal on the pod. I first met him as a teenager preparing for his journey at UCSD, and over time, I got to see him grow more and more into himself as an artist and person, and couldn’t be happier to witness the journey. Not only is he talented as an artist, but culture is so important for him, and that’s what made our conversation really engaging - a shared understanding, love, and respect for marginalized cultures. Sal is especially passionate about his border town communities, and gives us some insight as to why that it is important.

I’ve said on the podcast many times that one of my favorite moments in any recording is when my guest “nerds out” about something they are passionate about. We get into the weeds a bit talking sound design and movement, but it couldn’t be more fascinating. Sal’s unique life perspective as it pertains to sound, movement, and dance, is why art is so important within any field. Turn up the volume before pressing play, you’re in for a good time!
