Christian is an equity-minded educator, leader, and close friend of mine.
He was born and proudly raised in Paradise Hills of Southeast San Diego and is a higher education professional working with First Gen Scholars as the Senior Program Director. Chris is one of the most passionate people I know when it comes to serving the next generation of scholars. Our conversation is such a perfect snapshot of his pedagogy while giving an intimate insight into his upbringing, how he paints time with music, visualizes it with dance, and nourishes it with Korean BBQ.
