DJ AlmondEyez

Joann, creatively known as DJ AlmondEyez is a multi-hyphenated artist from SouthEast San Diego.

We go back to the days when Black Xpression was in the backroom at Caribbean Pleasures in Bonita, and she was selling her skin and hair care products throughout the show. Across time, I got to know her as a DJ and as a rapper, and had the amazing opportunity to hire her to work several events at UC San Diego. This episode covers such a wide ranger of topics including tiny houses, Pan-African Studies, DJ pet peeves, and an exclusive throwback to the early days of her rap career.
